2-An Annual Plant

[FMP-field: image]

Corn (Zea mays) is an annual plant, since it completes its life cycle in one growing season, within one year or less. Seeds germinate, plants grow to reproductive maturity, flower, produce seeds, and then die. Annual plants are usually herbaceous.
