IB 100: Integrative Biology (online) (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)
IB 100 is an 8-week (half semester) introduction to biology class targeted at non-majors. I was a TA for the online edition of the class in Fall 2012. My main responsibilities were monitoring student responses to discussion forums, grading discussion forums and assignments, checking material for inconsistencies and accuracy, and leading virtual office hours session. Additionally, I was the liaison between my ~80 students and the instructor.

IB 467: Principles of Systematics (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)
IB 467 is a graduate-level course on the field of systematics. I was the TA for this course in Fall 2011. My main responsibility was the lab, where I was the sole instructor. My responsibilities included updating lab exercises, creating new lab exercises, running a weekly three-hour computer lab session, helping students choose and execute final projects, and creating, administering, and grading the final exam (over lab material) for the course. I also reviewed lectures and facilitated student paper discussions in the lecture portion of the class.

ENTOM 2011: Alien Empires: The Bizarre Biology of Bugs (Cornell University)
I was an undergraduate TA for ENTOM 2011, an introduction to entomology for non-majors course, in Spring 2011. Responsibilities including leading a once-weekly, hour-long section featuring debates, discussions, and lecture review for 20 students. Additionally, I graded 3-5 page term papers and in-class exercises for these students.

ENTOM 2120: Introduction to Insect Biology (Cornell University)
ENTOM 2120 is the introduction to entomology course for entomology majors. I was an undergraduate TA for both lab sections (each weekly, three hour labs) in Fall 2010. Responsibilities including attending field trips, teaching students how to collect and curate insect collection, helping students with identification, setting up laboratory exams, grading laboratory exams, and grading the Hymenoptera and Ephemeroptera portions of the students' collections.
