Installing Meeting Maker 8.8

Preparation
  • You'll need to know your Meeting Maker account name and password to login. If you don't know this, please send a note to help@life.illinois.edu or call 333-7525 and we can tell you your account name and reset your password.

Install the Meeting Maker Client Starting Meeting Maker for the first time

  1. Open the Meeting Maker application.
    Windows - Start menu->All Programs->Meeting Maker->Meeting Maker

    Mac OS X - Applcations/meetingmaker/Meeting Maker Calendar

  2. In the Welcome to Meeting Maker window, enter your Meeting Maker account name and your Meeting Maker password.

  3. Click on the Time Zone: Select button to pick a time zone.

  4. Click on the Server: Select button to identify the Meeting Maker server.
    Choose SSL (or TCP) from the Protocol pop-up menu.

  5. Click on the Configure button to enter the Meeting Maker server's IP address.
    Under Host List enter:
    meeting.life.illinois.edu
    Click OK.

  6. Under Select Server click on the Life-Meeting server listing.
    Click on the Select button.

  7. Click on the Sign In button.
    There may be a delay of a few minutes while your Meeting Maker account data is downloaded to your computer.

    Your name and the server will be remembered for the future. If you would like for Meeting Maker to remember your password:
    Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
    Click on the Login tab.
    Check the 'Remember Password/Sign In Automatically' box.

Uninstall an old version of Meeting Maker

  • Windows - Start menu->Programs->Meeting Maker->Uninstall Meeting Maker.

  • Mac OS X -
    You can uninstall the old version by moving the previous /Applications/meetingmaker folder to the Trash.
