36-Chinese Wilson

[FMP-field: image]

Photograph of E. H. Wilson, often called "Chinese" Wilson, because of his field work in China in the late 1800s and early 1900s. He was later director of the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, and is shown wearing his academic robes. Behind him are plants of the regal lily (Lilium regale), which he introduced into cultivation from China in 1903.
