Hamamelidaceae

34-Parrotiopsis

[FMP-field: image]

Another genus of the Hammelidaceae is Parrotiopsis, which only has one species: P. jacquemontiana, a native of the Himalayas. It is occasionally cultivated in the United States. What look like single flowers in this photograph are actually whole inflorescences. Each flower is very small and yellow. Each inflorescence has 4 white bracts below it.
