10/2009, Vania's another paper accepted to the Journal Biological Chemistry, congrats! Vania continues pioneering her studies on the complex formation and regulation of adrenergic receptor signaling complexes with phosphodiesterases to controlling second messenger cAMP signaling propagation in cardiac muscle cells.
8/2009, Ruijie's first paper accepted to the Journal Biological Chemistry, congrats! In this story, Ruijie uncovered the unique roles of protein phosphorylation of beta2 adrenergic receptor in controlling receptor signaling specificity in cardiac myocytes.
8/2009, Dr. Xiang received a two-year NIRG grant from Alzheimer association
to study the synaptic activities in depressed neuronal network in novel Alzheimer's disease animal models

4/2009, our paper on nano-injection technique accepted by Nano letter. We teamed with engineers (Dr. Min-Feng Yu and Dr. Ning Wang) from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and developed a biocompatiable nanoneedle to deliver quantum dots into different subcellular compartments (nuclei and cytosol), and trace the movement of dots inside of living cells.
3/2009, Dr. Dayong Wang won the 2009 NARSAD Young Investigator Award, a two year funding for psychiatic study in Alzheimer's Diseases. Congrats!
