Trail-riding with TC

'TC' is short for Thoroughbred/Clydesdale, but his registered name is 'Power Broker'. TC was foaled in 1993 but has never had rigorous training barring lessons learned on trails and while fox hunting. I purchased TC in the winter of early 2001 and have consequently done a lot of indoor work on both jumping and some dressage with him. It appears that TC finds these new and different disciplines easy but at times trying/boring – but he is getting better. Riding on the trails is both exciting and exhilarating, and is a completely different cup of tea for TC – all the jumping and dressage has actually made riding on the open trails safer since we can now communicate effectively, even at breathtaking speed.
