Environmental Issue Presentation

Objectives

At the end of this lesson, you should be able to:

1. list and describe many environmental issues of the day.

2. describe one issue in detail including the cause and possible solutions on an individual and national scale.

3. explain the science underpinning the environmental issues discussed.

Assignment:

 Working as a team,

• Identify an environmental issue/problem in one of your local community.
• Determine the best way to address the issue.  You must meet with your TA before the presentation to discuss your action.
• Make a short PowerPoint presentation illustrating the problem and the action you propose.
• Give the presentation in class.

Total Points=50

• Meeting with TA=5 pts.  (Any individual that does not meet with the TA does not receive these points.)
  
• Presentation and explanation of the issue/problem=20 pts.
• Presentation and explanation of the action=20 pts.
• Teamwork=5 pts.
  

Extra Credit Opportunity:  Follow through with your action and post an description of the action and the action outcome in Moodle.
