I am originally from Champaign and have lived exclusively in this area.  I enjoy the seasons of the Midwest, although sometimes the polar opposites of the hot and humid to cold and gloomy weather we experience can become a bit tiresome.  This spring will be my first semester as a graduate student and my first time as a teaching assistant as well.

I look forward to working with the course material as I have a good deal of experience in related areas.  Previously I have assisted in research ranging from satellite imaging of ground vegetation, eddy-covariance measurements of plant canopy gas exchange, and micro-meteorological measurements of crop canopy water use at soyFACE of corn, soybeans, and the highly touted Miscanthus x Giganteus.

Currently my office is in Morril Hall, room 253.  I have changed the focus of my studies and am now looking at plant pathogen responses and the related cellular signaling pathways.  If you have any questions about things related to the coursework, or even things that are not, feel free to email me or stop by during my office hours!
