WEB INFORMATION SPECIALIST
SCHOOL OF INTEGRATIVE BIOLOGY
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA-CHAMPAIGN
The School of Integrative Biology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, seeks a full-time, 12-month academic professional Web Information Specialist to help develop and maintain web-based information.
The successful candidate is expected to work with faculty and staff in designing and implementing new web pages, and revising and maintaining existing web pages. These web pages describe the School’s academic units and programs and its graduate and undergraduate instructional programs. The web information specialist will also assist faculty in designing and setting up their personal and course web pages.
Qualifications for the position include a bachelor’s degree as well as practical knowledge and experience with: web page and template development. Desirable qualities include experience with effective graphic design and web page layout, experience with a variety of web server protocols and web-based languages, and an ability to work well with a variety of individuals, ranging from students to senior faculty.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Proposed start date is as soon as possible after closing date. To ensure full consideration, applications must be received by January 26, 2007.
