Applications are being accepted for multiple pre-doctoral (the freshman as well as the sophomore classes) and a post-doctoral traineeships in the NIH Training Program in Sensory Neuroscience. Individuals with research interests in auditory and chemosensory neuroscience are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be US citizens (or foreign citizens who have permanent resident status in the US). Trainees are expected to engage in across-lab collaborative research projects.

To apply, please submit a brief letter of application, a curriculum vita, a 1-2 page research statement (for beginning trainees a 0.5 page statement would suffice) that describes your research interest and proposed research project along with the names of 2 referees who can provide letters of reference, to Dr. Albert Feng by e-mail (afeng1@uiuc.edu) before July 1, 2005. Applicants should consult their future advisors prior to writing up their proposals; one of the future advisors should provide one of the letters of reference.
