Exam Information

Exam 1 and Exam 2 will be taken during your regularly scheduled lab session (10-11:50am for Section A; 1-2:50pm for Section B). Exam 1 is scheduled for October 5th and Exam 2 is November 2nd.  

Exam 1 covers everything from the beginning of class on August 22nd to the end of the Urinary Tract Infections Exercise on September 12th. For example, it includes Introductory Information including Basic Techniques (e.g., lab safety and procedures, review questions, antibiotics, antibodies, host defenses, streak plating, staining, bacterial cell wall structure, microscopy) and Exercise #1 (Urinary Tract Infections).

Exam 2 covers Exercise #2 Gram-Positive Cocci Infections and Exercise #3 Respiratory Tract Infections.  It is worth 100 pts and consists mainly of Short Answer Questions with some True/False and Multiple Choice Questions.  No calculator is needed.  There are no Sample Exam Questions this time.  Please arrive early so everyone can start on time.   

A Lab Practical is scheduled for November 9th and 14th.   

The Final Exam is scheduled for 8:00am-11:00am, Tuesday, December 12th.   Everyone will take it in the normal lab classroom at 495C Burrill Hall.  The Final Exam covers Exercise #4 Gastrointestinal Tract Infections and Exercise #5 Sexually Transmitted Infections.  It is worth 100 pts and consists mainly of Short Answer Questions with some True/False and Multiple Choice Questions.  No calculator is needed.
