- Why is the pH lower in the early endosome? This endosome does not have acid hydrolases so how is the pH lowered here?(6154 views)
- During class, you stated that there are 40 digestive enzymes present in the lysosome. However, the reading from the Cooper book on page 424 states that there are 50. Are there ten that aren't that important or was this just a slight error? (3034 views)
- I think you said that some macromolecules can begin to be degraded in the late endosome, but none will be completely degraded until the lysosome is fully created. Is this because the pH of the late endosome is not yet 5, or is there some other reason why macromolecules cannot be completely degrated in the late endosome? (5452 views)
- For a question, it said that the nucleotide is the least likely to be degraded by the lysosome. Why is that?

- In lecture you gave the example of insulin as the signal that needed to be degraded in a lysosome when the cell had brought in adequate amounts of glucose. If the insulin remains and continues to signal the cell that it should bring in glucose how does the cell know that it has enough glucose and should degrade the insulin?(5844 views)
