General, Non-Lecture-Specific Questions

ID #1058

Does the final exam cover everything that we learned throughout the semester or just the things after exam 3?

This is kind of a trick question. The final exam will focus on the material after Exam III, but keep in mind that most of the things we cover in this class build on what came before. The lac operon, for example, has lots of specifics in it, but you have to remember what a promoter is, what polycistronic means, how bacterial ribosomes recognize initiator codons, and so forth. This was technically Exam II material, but whenever a topic comes up again, it would be a good idea to review any of those things that you've forgotten already.
