For translation, what are the different elongation factors used and in which of the steps is each used. I have in my notes EF-Tu, EF-G, and I think RF; not sure what they all signify though.

Yes, EF-Tu and EF-G are elongations factors (hence the letters "EF"), but RF is a Release Factor. EF-Tu is used in step 1, and EF-G is used in step 3 in the elongation phase. RF is used for termination.
