DNA Structure and Replication

Why is it not correct to say that "DNA pol I is an RNA dependent, DNA synthesizing enzyme"?

When considering "X-dependent, Y-synthesizing" enzymes, the X represents the template used by the enzyme and the Y represents what it is making (RNA or DNA). What template does DNA Polymerase I use when performing its job? It uses a DNA template, since it is using the parental strand as template to replace the RNA primer with DNA. Although it removes an RNA primer, it is not using the RNA as a template or guide for any of the nucleotides that it synthesizes. As you mentioned in your question, DNA Pol I synthesizes DNA so it is a DNA dependent, DNA synthesizing enzyme.
