Does the amount of A-T base pairs in a DNA molecule affect the melting temperature? The graph from lecture discusses how salt and G-C base pairs affect it, but I am unsure what, if any, other base pairs also affect melting temperature.

Just the fact that an A-T base pair is different than a G-C base pair means that the effect will be different. Imagine this scenario. There's an auto race full of cars of all kinds, and the average speed in this race is 80 mph. Now increase the number of fast cars, while keeping the total number of cars constant, and the average speed is likely to increase, let's say to 100 mph. What do you think the effect on average speed would be if you increased the number of slow cars?
