Lipids and Biomembranes

ID #1650

What is more likely to get into a biological membrane, ions or polymers of glucose? Does the biological membrane not accept either one no matter what?

Neither would be able to cross a biological membrane without being transported. The good news is, that's why transport proteins are so common in biological membranes.
