ID #1755

what should we know about the protein subunits homodimer and heterodimer?

You need to know what these terms mean, and how it fits into the picture of whether or not a functional protein has quaternary structure. If you don't have subunits, you don't have quaternary structure, and if you're a dimer (heterodimer or homodimer), by definition you have two subunits.
