Microtubules
ID #1561
I am wondering what the difference is between the function of Colchine & Colcemid STABLIZING MT's and Taxol INHIBITING polmerization of MT's? It seems like they both do the same thing (stop polymerization)... am I wrong?
You're not wrong at all. The means might be different, but the end is the same -- preventing reformation of new microtubules, which will keep the cell from completing M-phase.
