Microtubules

ID #1559

What is the relationship-as far as binding goes- between G-actin and GTP; tubulin and ATP? Only GTP and GDP has something to do with the binding of tubulin right? G-actin is not really important in the area of microtubular binding but more related to actin, right or wrong?

Yes, this is correct. GTP never plays a role in anything to do with actin or myosin. Within the world of microtubules, it is the energy source needed to power the changes observed in depolymerization and polymerization, but does not play a role in motor proteins moving along those MTs.
