I know vesicles have the ability to "jump" Mts and head in the + and - directions using the different motor proteins, but can they jump to progressive (further down the line) Mts say in an axon or dendrite?


Sure, since the head groups of the motor proteins aren't attached as tightly as the tail groups are (which are in the membrane), they can detach from one MT and attach to a nearby one. Doesn't really matter where those MTs are -- if the vesicle or organelle can reach them, it can move along them.
