General, Non-Lecture-Specific Questions

ID #2323

I was wondering if there are any good websites where I could find videos of actual biological processes occurring, specifically, a protein folding. I've found animations of proteins folding, but I think it would be cool to see the real-life process.

It would be cool to see the real life process! Unfortunately, there are two major problems to getting real-time protein folding footage. (1) Proteins are very very small. (2) Protein folding happens very very quickly, so the technology that we currently have is too slow to capture the entire process before it is finished. Instead, scientists use other techniques (like computerized in silico modeling and FRET) to predict how a single protein might fold.
