Actin and Myosin

ID #2465

When we talked about cell movement, the myosin pulled on the actin to move the cell forward. specifically, does it pull on actin networks since these give the cell its structure and flexibility? or does it pull on all different kinds of actin?

In the case of cell movement, yes, the cell must extend its membrane by extending the actin network. Then myosin is used to pull the cell forward, and the process can repeat.
