Nucleo-Cytoplasmic Exchange

Does mRNA have a NES, or is it only the shuttle proteins that coat the mRNA that have the NES? I ask because there is a homework question asking if mRNAs have a NES. I'm not really sure how specific the answer should be.

If the question states that the mRNA has an NES, then it is specifically referring to the mRNA molecule, not anything that might be attached to it.  It is then your job to determine if the statement as worded is correct or incorrect.
