Why does it say on the slide about mismatch repair that the incorrect strand is removed by 3'-5' exonuclease activity when I thought we said in office hours it was an endonuclease?

No, what I said in office hours was that the endonuclease makes the "nick," yielding new 5' and 3' ends, and then the exonuclease starts removing bases in the "loop" one at a time from the "new" end of the molecule.
