The Nucleus and its Functional Domains

In one lecture you told us that heterochromatin is packed tightly towards the edges/periphery of the nucleus, yet in region C of that nucleus diagram you show the exact opposite. The euchromatin is towards the periphery and the heterochromatin is towards the middle. How can this be?


Because...as I said in class...there is a difference between the periphery of the entire nucleus and the periphery of a chromosomal territory.
