The Nucleus and its Functional Domains

ID #2020

How does the pre-RNA change into preribosomal particles? What is the difference between the two? Or what exactly makes up the preribosomal particles?

Pre-rRNA is a large nucleic acid molecule that hasn't even been processed yet. A pre-ribosomal particle is one or more pieces of (processed) rRNA and multiple proteins, which will soon be shipped out into the cytoplasm and then be called a ribosomal subunit.
