Transcription and RNA Processing

ID #1802

what the word Rho mean? Also, are intrinsic and rho-dependent termination the same thing just with different names?

Rho is a protein that binds to a bacterial RNA molecule, waits for an appropriate signal, and then displaces RNA polymerase from the DNA and peels the RNA away from the template. Intrinsic termination and rho-independent termination are the same thing, but not rho-dependent.
