Transcription and RNA Processing

ID #1731

Once an mRNA molecule has been translated into protein, can that same molecule be used to create another identical protein, or is the mRNA degraded after it is used?

The answer to both of your questions is Yes. A given mRNA molecule will continue to have protein made from it until it's degraded. Cells can regulate the amount of protein produced a number of different ways, one of which is to regulate the "lifespan" of an mRNA molecule.
