Transcription and RNA Processing

ID #1187

Do we need to memorize the AGGAGGU ribosome binding site sequence, or should we just know that it is a conserved region in the mRNA used for transcription in prokaryotes?

You don't need to memorize the consensus bases, but you do need to know that it is a conserved region, and you'd better know by exam day that it doesn't have anything to do with transcription!
