Transcription and RNA Processing

ID #1172

Does transcription entail two different things, chromosome transcription and gene transcription?

You definitely don't transcribe an entire chromosome, so there's really no such thing as "chromosome transcription." Instead, you identify regions of a chromosome that have information in them that you need in that cell at that time. Those regions are called genes.
