Beth Hunt

B.S. Animal Sciences - University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign

Worked in the Lab: December 2012 - May 2017

Current Position: Retired in Colorado

I am Beth Hunt from Hume, IL. I have lived in Illinois and been a Fighting Illini fan my whole life. I received my BS in Animal Sciences from the U of I. I have been a technician or manager in 4 different labs at this university since then. I started as a microinjectionist. I did the pronuclear injections for the U of I's first transgenic pig. I make sure to spend plenty of time with our lab mice. However, I have switched from handling embryos to handling ordering and protocol forms.

I have been married for 23 years to Greg Hunt. We have 2 girls named Stephanie and Jessica. The 4 of us have traveled to all 50 states together. Greg and I enjoy spending many of our weekends at the softball field, either coaching or cheering for our girls. Our newest family member is our Grandson, Connor. We are teaching him how to watch softball and many other sports.

Go Illini!
