IB 150 iClicker Information
- iClicker points will be earned by answering questions during lecture using your required iClicker. Unless otherwise indicated, points will be awarded for participation - answers generally DO NOT have to be correct to receive full credit.
- You must participate in at least 80% of the clicker questions during lecture to earn your 2 iClicker points for the day. If you arrive late, leave early, sleep in lecture, etc., and miss more than 20% of the questions, you will not receive credit for that day.
- No partial credit is given for individual lectures. For example, if you answer half of a lecture's questions, you will not receive 1 point. You must answer more than 80% of the questions to receive ANY credit for that lecture.
- You can earn up to a maximum of 50 iClicker points for the semester. We will offer make up opportunities at the end of the semester for you to make up missed points due to absences, forgetting clicker, lateness, etc.
- “Clicking” for someone else is a violation of the Student Code of Conduct, and will not be tolerated. If a student is found with more than one iClicker, all iClickers will be confiscated, and the owners of each will lose all clicker points for the semester.
Registering your iClicker
You should register your iClicker by following this link. You will register your iClicker using your netID (jsmith) not your UIN when prompted for your student ID. (Other courses may have different policies, but use of the NetID is the University Standard, and will be used in this class.) If you have an iClicker form a previous course and have not registered your iClicker in over a year, you will need to reregister it.
iClicker grades in Compass
We will announce when we update the iClicker point in the Compass gradebook. You are responsible for keeping track of your iClicker points and that they are posted correctly. If you points are not showing up in the gradebook, you need to contact the Tracey Hickox right away, so it can be correctly early in the semester.
