I graduated with distinction from the University of Illinois in Molecular and Cellular Biology.  As an undergraduate, I worked in several labs and completed a senior thesis on the effects of stomata in elevated carbon dioxide on different types of Arabidopsis thaliana plants.  I am continuing this researching while working towards my PhD in Plant Biology with Dr. Jacobs.  The main goal is to better understand the development of stomata.  I love learning about science, but my favorite part of graduate school is being a TA.
