My name is Ember Chabot. I grew up in New York where I got my bachelors in environmental science with a minor in biology. I am a certified SCUBA diver and have worked the last 3 summers on a dive crew in Lake George, NY controlling the invasive aquatic plant Eurasian Water-milfoil (Myriophyllum spicatum). I’m a first year entomology graduate student at the U of I currently working on my masters degree. I work with aquatic insects, using conservation genetics to reintroduce an important species to the Vermillion River that disappeared in the 1960s.
