Creating E-Mail Lists

An e-mail list can be used for easy communication with a group. E-mail sent to the group can be archived and accessed via the web. And group members may subscribe or unsubscribe themselves from the list as they wish. A list can have a moderator who must approve subscriptions and postings.

We use a software called Mailman from http://www.list.org to manage our e-mail lists. It has a web interface for users to manage their subscriptions or access list archives. For a local example, see the AERGC list page.
