About the Ed Tech Center

The Educational Technologies Center was created to serve as a resource for faculty and staff in Life Sciences to explore the use of new technologies in teaching. First established in in the century old Natural History Building on Green Street, the main part of the operation was moved to new quarters in 164 Burrill Hall in the winter of 2000.

The Center is a division of the Office of Information Technologies and now offers informal assistance and consultation as well formal training programs to members of Life Sciences.

Hardware

Three Macintosh G4s and one two Windows systems are available in the 'Edtech Center" in 164a Burrill Hall. The room also includes a flatbed scanner and and a Polaroid SprintScan 4000 slide scanner, a VCR and TV monitor, and a Videobridge for digitizing composite video.
