|I decided that my life was headed towards some natural
science field when I fell in love with the Chicago Field Museum at age
seven. I was enamored with the taxidermy, the dinosaur bones, and of
course the crown jewel: the hall of plants. My enthusiasm for all
things science has only increased since then, and is now flourishing
here in the laboratory.
I am very pleased to be assisting on two projects this summer. Both
projects I am involved in are attempting to assess a variety of plant
reactions to heightened atmospheric carbon dioxide. It is my hope to
continue to learn from my colleagues and lab experience and to discover
more about lesser known plant defense processes.
