I recently joined the DeLucia laboratory in the fall of 2007 after completing my B.A. in biology and geography from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota. While spending my summers working for the Forest Service in northern Minnesota I became acutely aware of the important biotic factors that influence healthy forest ecosystems. These factors, such as climate, have the ability to alter physiolgical characteristics of individual species as well as influence large scale forest dynamics.
My research as a Master's student in the DeLucia lab will include carbon cycling, physiological responses to elevated carbon dioxide and forest ecology.
