The upper part shows the data of Fig. 4 plotted in a "Magic Square" to show the apparent equilibrium constants, and the difference between the results with myxothiazol and stigmatellin. The points include values from the kinetics on opening the shutter, and on darkening. The hysteresis reflects the fact that a fraction of the cyt c equilibrates relatively slowly with the reaction center.
The lower part shows the data in the presence of myxothiazol, together with theoretical curves for K = 10 or 100.
