This thing simulates the growth of a plant made of just carbohydrates and protein. Nitrogen is taken up as nitrate. It allows some control over the rate of nitrate reduction in the roots and the shoot of the plant. The output will show percentages of carbohydrates and proteins as time passes, as well as levels of nitrate and non-structural carbon and nitrogen. Total dry weight of the plant is also calculated. The root/shoot ratio for the plant can be derived. This is just a quick note, expect better instructions when I find time to write them. The model supplements a poster that will be presented at an ASPP conference in San Antonio this summer
