Joining the Lab
Research in the Allan lab focuses on the ecology of infectious diseases, particularly those transmitted from wildlife to humans via the bite of an infected arthropod (e.g., ticks, mosquitoes). We study many aspects of infectious disease biology, including: 1) the effects of global change on disease dynamics, 2) benefits of wildlife conservation for human health, and 3) the use and development of molecular tools that illuminate the biology of pathogen transmission.
