The AERGC E-Mail Forum

Majordomo offers commands for functions such as subscribing and unsubscribing to the Forum, to get help, access the Forum Archives, and to see who else has subscribed to the Forum. These commands should be sent as messages to:

majordomo@life.uiuc.edu

Leave the "Subject" field blank and enter the commands into the body of the e-mail message. Commands may be sent as upper or lower case letters.

To receive a copy of Majordomo commands, send the command:

help

To subscribe to the AERGC E-Mail Forum, send the command:

subscribe aergc

To unsubscribe from the AERGC E-Mail Forum, send the command:

unsubscribe aergc

To obtain a list of AERGC E-Mail Forum subscribers and e-mail addresses, send the commands:

who aergc
who aergc-digest

To receive Forum mail as a digest (i.e. receive Forum messages once per day), send the command:

subscribe aergc-digest

Please note: "Digesting" is done via a separate list. If you want to change from normal to digest service, you need to also unsubscribe from the "non-digested" Forum list by sending the command:

unsubscribe aergc

To receive a listing of currently available Forum Archive files, send the command:

index aergc

This command will return a listing of currently available archive files in the format:

aergc.9704

To have the archive file for a given month sent to you (using April 1997 as an example), send the command:

get aergc aergc.9704
